Hummer Park

Great park. Excellent play equipment for ages 2 and up. Age group separated play areas. Well maintained equipment and play area. Wood chip covered play area. Bathrooms and shelter. Good parking. Trees. Large grass area.

Downers Grove has its share of parks, and most of them are pretty good. Hummer Park, however, is among the best of the parks, for the following reasons -

1. It is well shaded except during mid-afternoon. There are plenty of trees and extra greenspace to keep it cool.
2. There are two large playgrounds for kids 2-5 and 5-12. Your kids will find anything they want to find here.
3. There is ample greenspace for running around if you don't want to be on the playground.
4. There are drinking fountains and maintained restrooms.
5. Plenty of parking is available in a parking lot OFF the street.

No reason not to check out this park, it's a favorite of my family!

Great park with lots of space, and a large picnic area with built in grills. Kids playground also. This is a great park to hold large social events in Spring and Summer. Found a fair bit of trash, which I picked up and disposed of. Great location.

Hummer park is a very well maintained park . Lots of room to have picnic for a large group. Two great play grounds for all ages and lots of tables and places to sit. This park is also very clean and well taken care of.

Nice play areas for different ages. Vast grassy area for running or just relaxing. Nice picnic area with built in grills.
