(May 27, 2018, 6:05 pm)I recently purchased a 1969 Camaro RS from Alabama and brought it to Baltria to do some service including the installation of three point harnesses for all four seats, new fuel tank and few other small items. The service manager, Terry, went over all of the items that I wanted done and also recommended doing a full inspection of the entire vehicle for around $100 which I agreed to. Once the inspection was complete I went back to the service department and both Terry and the mechanic showed me everything they found on the car and offered recommendations for what should be done vs. what really didn't. We made a punch list and Terry gave me a rough idea of what the total cost will be. Its a "time and material" shop so there are no service quotes. Plus with old cars, any number of problems can pop up along the way that impact the scope of work.
Over the next three weeks Dan (he was running the service dept while Terry was out) kept in regular contact with me regarding both the progress on my Camaro as well as where we were at in terms of costs. The mechanic discovered a couple additional problems with the car such as the radiator having a small crack. Dan called right away and explained my options for repair vs. replacement.
Throughout the process both managers did an outstanding job of keeping me informed of the progress of repairs. The mechanic walked me through everything he did upon completion and from what I can tell the quality of the work was great. Not only that, but the final invoice was $600 less than what I expected to pay. Now the only thing left to do was take my new toy out and enjoy it.
Obviously I had a great experience at Baltria. They could not have been any more professional and informative. I'll be back for sure.
