UPDATE 11/28/2017- Going into my 4th heating season with this stove. Still works like new and we have saved a ton on propane costs. Thanks again Jim!!!!!!
12/16 - This is my 3rd year heating with the Illinois Corn Stove 80,000BTU Model. The stove paid for itself after the second year. While the unit does require monthly cleaning and daily filling, hey, it's a corn stove. We have been very happy with our stove and intend to use it for many winters to come. If you are considering a corn stove, do some research of your own and then call Jim. Illinois Corn Stove sells a great product, Jim stands behind his stoves and they are well worth the money.
WWe purchased Illinois Corn Stoves 200,000 btu furnace and ran it 1 full winter season.We have had a great experience. The key to utilizing the unit to its potential is installing a proper flu system. We heated Over 4100 Sq ft using only 300 bushels of corn from November to April. Jim Blunk has upset another individual here in my neighborhood --- the Propane Man!!!
