I’m so happy to see that they are redeveloping this property and turning it into a medical center again it will contain a center for people on the Autism spectrum and a center for people with disabilities in addition it will contain a senior community center now when you drive by Copley it is a construction site keep the hype it is no longer abandoned

As of 10/12/18 new security is here. Along with a 10ft fence around the entire main buildings and parking lots that is not designed to hold wight on it. It is not abandoned anymore it’s a construction site now. Work is being done to clean up the property and gut the inside. Then work will begin to redevelop the buildings. Posted no trespassing keep out signs are around the entire fence perimeter. I talked with security and trespassers will be detained by security and then arrested by the Aurora police. Do not attempt to enter this place anymore it’s a construction site and security will catch you they are constantly moving around and watching anyone who walks the perimeter fence.
It's abandoned. It's creepy at night.
I was just here recently. Security is a hit or miss it seems like. It went from actual security, to a white utility van, APD might hang around occasionally. However, the Nayaks; Who own the property are not fulfilling the obligations the City placed on them last July. There was also talk of a developer who took interest in turning the hospital into senior living spaces a few weeks ago, but I don't think that'll happen. This building is in a complete state of disrepair. If all who wish to enter at this point, do it soon because Aurora is getting ready to rip this place to the ground. The new mayor isn't having it.
UPDATE: It's virtually impossible to go there now with the security, police activity, and fencing. Would not recommend going inside anymore.
Beautiful place. Me and my friends have heard loud banging in the Lincoln wing everytime we go there. People who have worked there will agree with that. If you go inside, bring a particle mask, long pants, a light coat, wetboots, high-powered flashlights, and legal weapons in case things go south. I'm not responsible for medical bills or legal fees for people who take my advice.
