(May 14, 2018, 7:37 pm)CSL is wonderful. I am notorious for having difficult veins. I warned them about this and begged them not to sewing machine my arm. They did indeed have a tough time finding a vein but they did not stick me until three different phlebotomists had checked to be sure of where the vein was. That may sound tedious and annoying, but as someone who is used to several stabs, this was amazing. They stuck me once and immediately had the vein. The staff there is nothing but kind and welcoming. If you are someone with difficult veins like I am, I will tell you that there is no better place to go. There was always one person or another asking if I was okay and making sure I was doing well. It was crowded when I got in, and even as a first time donor having to wait quite a while for my turn, I was in and out in 3 hours. I really appreciate them stressing the need for lots of water. My donation only took 43 minutes. Also, they make sure to ask if you have to go to the bathroom before you get in the chair, which I find kind and courteous given the amount of water plasma donors have to drink. They also offer you peanut butter crackers and a water bottle before your donation. They made sure I was comfortable and knew exactly what to expect. Thank you, CSL for making my donation go so well and I will be coming back!
