  I was curious about reviews posted this past Monday when I was traveling and wanted to download the latest sermon. I was deeply disappointed to find Older N Wiser's review which sounded very vengeful. This is not what is taught at Elburn Hill Church. I drive 20 miles one way to attend worship with this body of believers that includes Gary as the pastor/teacher of Scripture. He is, like the rest of us, a human and not perfect, but also, like the rest of us, growing in God's grace and mercy. Thank you, Gary AND Mrs. Gary!! I have lived in various places in and out of Illinois and this is, by far, the best scriptural teaching I have yet to experience.

  My experience at Elburn Hill Church is one of acceptance. There is a genuine sense to serve others as Christ has called us to do. Christ came to heal the broken, and when I share my joy, life, and pain they have prayed with me and for me. I have been with this church, and without it, and my life has been much more at peace with it, following God, reading the bible --which we are reminded to do almost every Sunday by what I would consider one of the best Pastor's I have ever heard speak :)--, and serving the community and others.
  2 Corinthians 12:9
  But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.

  My experience at Elburn Hill Church is that the people there go out of their way to take care of each other and their community. We emphasize living lives worthy of Christ, being faithful in marriage, honest, respectful and serving others. I have seen some unhappy who want their moral failures to go without challenge, but if you're serious about really knowing God and not just playing church, I find this the best church I've ever been a part of

  I must defend our church from such an attack. We are a congregation that cares deeply. Gary is a great teacher and extends himself to the community and beyond. Pam has helped a lot of people manage life. our church adheres to Biblical Standards, and the accusation of a gossip fest is mean spirited and plain evil
