  I highly recommend Symonds Lakes Funeral Home to everyone. My family worked with Matthew (the funeral director and son of the family owned business) from start to finish for my mothers services. Matthew was very kind, caring and respectful to my beloved mother and my family. I couldn't have asked for anything more elegant, respectful and loving for her visitation memorial and funeral services. Matthew addressed every question promptly and professionally without making us feel inadequate. He was meticulous every step of the way and made a very difficult situation feel like a very comforting one. The "Flowers by Mateo" were absolutely stunning, bountiful and aromatic. You can truly see that Symonds Lake Funeral Home and Matthew really care about the departed and their families. They showed my mother and family upmost respect, true professionalism, dignity and grace throughout everything from start to finish. The services provided by Matthew and Symonds Lakes went above and beyond and is truly cherished. The pricing for everything was very reasonable the establishment was clean, with upscale decor and had very large of room with plenty of seating for a large gathering. The was ample parking available as well as being handicapped accessible. The coffee room and washrooms were very elegant and updated not like the typical funeral home and located on the main floor and not in a basement which we appreciated. When you walk in there is a beautiful chandelier and fireplace that make the atmosphere feel very warm and inviting and not commercial or cold. It didn't have the typical funeral feel or scent as it was more comforting, peaceful and inviting which we liked and had many of our guests comment on how the atmosphere was more welcoming than other places. Our family can't thank you enough for the services you provided and the professionalism caring and honesty. We recommend working with Matthew (Jr) as he handled everything for our family graciously. Thank you for treating our family like your own. I highly recommend Symonds Lakes Funeral home and Matthew ( Jr.) for pre - planning services or unexpected ones like our situation he is the best.

  Thanks to Mr. Symonds for walking us through the process and different options. He was knowledgeable and patient with us, especially during a stressful time. I would highly recommend Symonds Lakes Funeral Home to anyone. Plus, the flowers provided for the memorial service were the most beautiful I had seen and many of our guests thought they were fake.

  If I knew this was here several years ago following the funeral of my husband's Mom I would have done so. Such experiences all families endure is made that much easier working with the Symonds family. Every step of this life event was handled with grace and expertise. The kindness shown our family was beyond what we could imagine. We thank them all for making this day as easy as possible on our family.
