After moving to this area, I was prepared to visit several churches before I found my church home. Joyful Spirit Church was the church I visited and looked no further. We are a family of loving , prayerful people who will welcome you with Open Minds, Open Hearts and Open Doors.

This is more than "just a church": it's a family of people who support each other, who serve the community with joy and generosity. We have a mission called JARS, a place where people donate household goods and clothing and folks who are in need can come and get what they need. We have 12 step groups, Bible Studies, great messages, and it's REAL! Real people, real love, God is good!
I came to this church when my son was 4yrs old. We’d looked at lots of churches, but this one was made up of a few down to earth, hardworking, genuinely caring people. The Pastor gave a message from his vast experience, bible verses and his caring heart. He didn’t just read to us, he spoke with kindhearted passion, and his actions matched his words. After our Pastor retired, we had a young couple out of seminary and then a couple others who retired, and now we have our new pastor who’s been with us for a few years. Pastor Sung is a family man with 2 children in their teens, his wife is also a pastor at another church. Pastor Sung is passionate, kindhearted and looks for the good in people but also speaks out for the marginalized and takes action to help those in need. Our church continues to grow, from the handful we had over 25 yrs ago to 30-40 who attend regularly. This is the community I call my church home. Our pastors are our leaders, and we all love our pastor. At the same time, our church is a family regardless of where we are with pastors retiring and what not. We support each other and do our best to give back to our community through our Resale Shop and donations to local food pantries, etc. We give to international missions through Heifer International as well as other national and international funds as needs arise. We are givers, and even though we are all different, we listen to each other and rise above any differences that would threaten our usefulness to each other and our community. That’s who we are.
