  Free parking. Beautiful shoreline hike and views. Part of the shore is obstructed by sets of small boulders; those are fun to crawl over

  A beautiful expanse of area with wide paths to wander on. The lake is also beautiful but as it's winter time now, the winds from are lake is cold. The informational boards share history and also warn you as to why you shouldn't be swimming in the lake this close to the fort.

  Fort Sheridan has come a long way over the years, but now its certainly a destination for several lovely paved trails among the natural prairie and leading down to the beautiful beach of Lake Michigan. With informational signs along the way, you'll learn about the fort's history and its present natural ecosystem. Great place year-round, but be sure to dress appropriately for the weather.

  Really beautiful view of lake Michigan. People bring their dogs on the path which is great!! Right near the historic fort Sheridan base which is also a sight to see.

  Very pretty nature area. You can walk straight down to the lakeshore and watch the waves roll in. Really cool private home on the beach that I’d live to own.
