Jasmine met with me and my husband, listened to all of my fears and worries and helped us develop a realistic understanding of what to expect. I had a "plan" for if things went how I hoped and, if other interventions were needed, I knew what I could expect and what I could ask for to help make my birthing experience meet my hopes. She even helped me and my husband communicate so we were on the same page about what his role would be during the labor and how he could help me advocate for what I wanted. Well, very little went how I "planned", but Jasmine was there for us, encouraging us, and being a sounding board throughout the whole thing. I felt confident in all of the decisions we made at every turning point and in the end I can look back at my labor and the birth of my daughter and be happy with how things turned out.
