  If you are looking for somewhere to take your guitar for a simple repair or setup, if you are looking for a high end custom build to your specs, if you have a guitar that got caved in that you've had for years and are sentimentality attached to and want it repaired to pass on, just STOP looking right now, you have found the man. Anything, and I mean anything guitar related, this is the place.
  
  I found Gene quite by accident after I bought a used acoustic Seagull that was basically unplayable and needed a setup in a bad way.
  
  Gene graciously invited me in to the shop and showed me around, if you are a maker, woodworker, or just enjoy shops, this place is fantastic. Gene has been doing this for over thirty years, the shop is packed with jigs, fixtures, behemoth 80 year old metal mills and lathes, really something to experience.
  
  As long as I am within driving distance, anything I need guitar related will be going here. Do yourself a favor and give him a call, great guy and easy to talk to.
  
  Oh yeah, I got the Seagull back and it almost plays itself. It's perfect.

  Gene makes unbelievable guitars, and his repairs are unmatched in quality, when only the best will do, Go to Gene!

  Gene Liberty is nothing less than a great luthier! I met Gene 26 years ago when he worked on my American Stratocaster and he has been my number (1) luthier since... Gene is an honest and humble man, who could easily charge up to (3) times more for the quality work he does. Gene has done work on my PRS, Les Paul, Jem and reassembled my Kramer after it was butchered.
  Gene has done a lot of work for me over the years such as, refrets, body repair (with repainting), wiring, intonation and set ups, as well as complete reassembly. He is all around a great guy; and a really good guitarist! I find him to be a rare jewel, usually the luthiers I met did not play guitar. I am now finally having Gene build me a custom guitar, something I have always wanted.
  I do have to comment on the negative review by the Carl guy though... I know Gene Liberty does not make glue in neck guitars. Gene's custom guitars are neck thru bodies and are beautiful musical instruments. So I believe the Carl guy fabricated some non-sense and if anyone doubts Gene's ability, check out his website... Gene Liberty does great work and you will be in awe of his skills!

  outstanding workmanship, very knowledgeable, Gene has built one guitar for me and is in the process of building another one for me. Just look at his craftsmanship it will speak for it self. Very glad I was referred to him by a dear friend. Recommend him to anyone for building a guitar and any kind of guitar repairs.

  I've had the pleasure of knowing Gene for a while and i wouldn't take my guitars to anywhere else but him. He's truly a master of his craft and his custom guitars that hes built are all astounding. He is very knowledgeable and has always been more than happy to help not only me but everyone else i know anytime they had an issue with any of their guitars. Everyone i know that plays takes their guitars to him simply because he's the best at what he does. Whether you're looking for a simple repair or a complete custom build from scratch he covers it all and i highly recommend him to anyone that is looking for the best of the best when it comes to guitars.
