(December 11, 2019, 9:13 am)Great hiking opportunity traversing several different types of terrain. Some hilly parts, some flat trails. Bluffs trail is beautiful, overlooking Fox River far below (we did not continue downhill at this point, as the trail was steep, wet and leaf covered). Will be coming back for additional hiking, would be beautiful in the fall but we hiked after leaves had already fallen. Most trails are suitable for families with small children.

(September 4, 2019, 11:57 pm)This is a great find for nature lovers who want a quieter choice than Starved Rock. The Fox river-front property is traversed by deep ravines and native forests carpeted with multicolored wildflowers in the Spring. I like to go in the winter, when you can really appreciate the varied topography. Huge thanks to Brook MacDonald and the Conservation Foundation for their vision and hard work!

(March 19, 2019, 6:36 pm)Dayton Bluffs is pristine natural woods and prarie. Include a hidden pond and easy access to the bank of the Fox River. The parking lot is usually empty. A nature lovers dream.
