First rate veterinary care. My girl and I traveled from Florida to Illinois specifically to see Dr. Jo. We weren’t disappointed. Professional, knowledgeable, detailed and caring. Personal concerns were taken seriously and information transferred to others on staff. Party and I would rate six stars if we could. Thanks for taken care of my girl!
We've been taking our 3 dogs to AHOW for about 5 years now. Recently, our older dog Keeper fell ill with kidney disease. She was very sick and spent 3 days under observation. When the three days were up, she was improved but not at all 'as good as new'. This wasn't a surprise. Her kidneys were severely damaged. We took her home for a few days fully expecting that we would have to put her down sooner rather than later. Ten days later, we returned to euthanize our friend. It was one of the hardest decisions we've ever had to make. Dr Fritz and the rest of the staff were very supportive. They made sure we understood our options and the impact it could have on our dog. With their help, we were able to give keeper two weeks (great weeks, at that) with us and our family she might not have otherwise had. In the end, she went peacefully and among friends.
