  A McHenry Institution. The weird little building shaped like a witch's hat at the corner of Route 120 and Chapel Hill roads. All kinds of chocolate anythings as well as a vast assortment of other candies, fresh fudge and a superb ice cream bar.

  We used to drive quite a way from our previous home just to visit Riverside Chocolate Factory. It's unique look makes it a McHenry landmark and their product makes it a destination. Now we moved nearby and visit weekly. Sometimes more often. Excellent selection of fresh chocolates and fudge and some nostalgic candy from our youth. The ice cream is phenomenal. In addition to scoops of ice cream, they make shakes, malts, sundaes and hand-dipped ice cream bars. OMG - so good!

  Amazing family, wonderful employees, and fantastic chocolates and candy. Such a fun environment all around, and easily the best quality chocolates and prices from any candy shopped I've been to. I stop by whenever I'm in town. :)

  I love this place. There are so many cute things here. And they're inexpensive. Staff is very nice as well.

  Everything here is delicious, fresh, and so worth it! They have the best chocolate covered strawberries! I make excuses to come to this area just to be able to come and get treats from here. It's absolutely amazing! The workers are always super nice and friendly as well.
