Very friendly bartenders and great place to meet the neighbors. Fun times.
Only warning is WATCH YOUR SPEED.

(June 28, 2018, 2:28 pm)Hermann's rest a while is a small bar in port Barrington. I frequent it during the winter months to ice fish the channels of the fox river right across the street from the bar. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. It's pretty inexpensive to park in their lot if you want to go out ice fishing. At the end of the day it's nice to warm up at the bar and grab a drink and a bite to eat. I'd suggest some of their homemade chili.
