This was our first time calling Huntington Appliance Service, and we will definitely use them again! The technician was very knowledgeable regarding our Samsung clothes washer. They advised us about a recall on our model that we knew nothing about. The office personnel was extremely pleasant and helpful.
Their advise led us down a path where Samsung ended up replacing our washer rather than getting it fixed!
We are so grateful that Huntington did what was in our best interest and not what made the most money for them. Because of that, we will definitely call them again for any appliance needs. Thank you!
I made the mistake of trying someone else in Marengo. There aren't many appliance repair places in Marengo so I tried Harvard, Woodstock, and Belvidere first. That was a complete mistake!
I should have gone to Huntington's first. I'm going to go to Huntington's first from now on.
I hired Killeen's out of Harvard. He fixed on part that was failed, then didn't know how to fix the rest. He contacted Whirlpool, found the part that was needed, then ordered the part.
A month later after living with a refrigerator that wouldn't cool below 50 degrees, he told me he couldn't get the part.
Then I tried Ehrke's out of Woodstock. They wouldn't even show up, so I suspect they didn't know how to fix the refrigerator. Then I called Ted's. Ted's has some good reviews, but he showed up, looked at the refrigerator for 10 minutes then left without charging me saying he didn't know how to fix it!
Huntington show up, was friendly and knew what the problem was within 10 minutes. Not only that, but they ordered the part and had it the next day. Called on Monday, had my refrigerator fixed by Wednesday.
I honestly don't think Huntington's was more expensive, I think Huntington's is the going rate. They do apply a trip charge of $80 which put me off in the beginning. Kinda' crazy to be charged $80 to drive across town in Marengo! However, nobody else I called could fix my refrigerator!
If the trip charge guarantees I get my refrigerator fixed and fixed quickly and correctly, then it's very much worth the cost. I think I paid more in spoiled food then I paid for the service from Huntington's.
You should be able to call an appliance repair company, have them fix your appliance, pay them, and get on with your life! Because Huntington's did exactly that with expertise and friendly service, they get 5 stars from me!!!
I am very pleased with the dishwasher repair that Huntington did. They came when scheduled and the technician was professional and knowledgeable. My dishwasher is running well again! I would not hesitate to recommend this company to a friend in need of a repair.
