Belleville West High School

Belleville West High School is a great school full of good teachers and kids. You feel at home walking through the doors at Belleville West. My first time walking in as a freshman I was greeted and welcomed by seniors and many upperclassmen. All of my teachers have been helpful with my academics. The extra-curricular activities have been fun as well. I've been in golf and Speech and Acting team and have felt welcomed in both. This mostly stems from helpful and caring upperclassmen being willing to help freshman. I've enjoyed my time at West so far and look forward to the next four years.

Belleville West overall is a great school.
Personally, I think the best part is the amount of activities available to the students. There are so many clubs and activities so no one feels left out. I think lots of schools have students that don't participate in anything but not West. I'm happy that everyone has their own place to fit in at my school. No one’s left behind. All the teachers also go out of their way to make kids feel welcome and comfortable. I feel like I really connect to two of my teachers, and they make my school experience more bearable. As a whole, Belleville West is a great school!

I couldn't have started my high school career at a better school - Belleville West is a wonderful place to be. Anyone looking for a great place to learn, athletic opportunities, and fine arts will fall in love with West. The teachers are wonderful, and the students have so much school spirit. I have many friends, and have even met new ones . The band program is great, and the directors are really good at what they do. The school offers AP and honors classes, as well as language courses. There is a club or sports team for everyone, and getting involved is encouraged. I'm glad I attend Belleville West, and I believe my next three years here will be great!

Belleville West is absolutely the BEST, and I am so proud to be a West alum. I had an amazing four years filled with positive memories and opportunities that not only prepared me for college but also life. The teachers are caring about your future and actually want you to succeed. Also, they pushed me to realizing my full potential as a student and a person. I am forever grateful for the impact that Belleville West has had on my life. Go Maroons!

Class of 2009

I graduated from Belleville West high school in 2014 and I have absolutely nothing but good things to say about it. I transferred to West toward the end of my sophomore year and having experienced another school in the area I can say in all honesty WEST IS BEST! Everything from the campus to the teachers to the extra curricular activities is top notch. The teachers all care about each student and their learning experience. They go above and beyond to make sure the students are understanding the curriculum. The campus is beautiful and still feels new. The students were all very welcoming and were all very well behaved in class and on campus and clicks were not a big issue at all. There is a place for everyone to fit in and get involved. I especially praise the theater department there. They put on incredible productions and really help students learn about the art of performing, it's much more than you're average school club. Overall going to West remains one of the best decisions I have ever made.
