Sax Speedi-Chek

Stopped by to grab a few quick items. As usual the folks working the counter had me in and out in no time. Returned to my car to find it was not inclined to leave. My battery had finally thrown in the towel, much to my chagrin. Popped back into the store to see if one of the clerks would be kind enough to lend me a car for a jump. One of the guys threw a jacket on and came right out to pull his truck next to mine. 5 minutes later and I was up and running and off to the autoparts store. Thank goodness for kind folks!

Friendly staff and a fantastic deli. They have fantastic lunch specials and the sandwiches are gigantic. A local favorite.

Great sub sandwiches

This is a local family owned business. It's much more than a gas station! The location is perfect. This store covers a wide range of household essentials and of course typical convenient store items. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. My favorite thing about Sax's Speedi Check in Mascoutah is their homemade lunch specials. Tuesday is always taco salad day. However, the deli is open 5am-11pm. They bake their own bread here, slice the meat (mostly from our local butcher, Weinneman's) fresh vegetables, homemade potato/egg/chicken and (but not limited to) tuna salad. Skii soda is a local favorite sold here, fountain, canned and bottled. It's more than a gas station in many ways. I HIGHLY recommend going there instead of any other local gas station.
