My sister and I both attended here for elementary and middle school nothing but fun and high education. Now having worked at other schools going to whiteside seems even better to me. They have luxuries such as smart boards, choir, multiple fields trips some years, a p.e program, music and art classes, even computer classes. Amazing teachers and aids. This is somewhere I definitely plan on sending my future children.

This is my son's 4th year with Whiteside, and we couldn't have landed in a better place for him to be. He struggles with school and the faculty have been a great support system from the principal all the way to the school nurse and everyone in between. Everyone is pleasant and friendly that I've encountered, and truly seem to care about the students. Huge fan of this school!!

All of the negative reviews seem very hard to believe, especially the ones about fighting, bullying and the like. Both of my sons attend & or attended Whiteside Elem & Middle School.
The oldest needs more assistance, always has, and when I say that they helped above and beyond, I mean it. He is thriving in high school now because of the help he received at this school. And as far as disciplining kids and letting them fight, that is a COMPLETE & UTTER LIE. My youngest is not the most well-behaved kid, and they've NEVER let him get away with being mean or bullying kids, which I greatly appreciate. I understand that all kids don't have positive experiences at schools, but a select few incidents can not take away from the overall great job that this school does.
