(December 23, 2018, 4:55 pm)This is a very good place for Soul Food lovers. They have a diverse menu as well as the traditional menu items you would want at a soul food restaurant. I had the beef short ribs that were awesome with gravy while the meat was tender. My sides were dressing, and mac-n-cheese (also awesome). My wife had the smothered pork chops with cabbage and mash potatoes which were extra tender also. The entrees comes with two sides and a cornbread muffin, so plenty of food to eat and go home with. We dined in and my family got water and I got koolaid (yes it was red). My only recommendation would be to have a designated person to serve people who dine in because they have one person multi-tasking with taking orders and serving customers, so the service can be a bit slow. However you can always avoid that, and do take-out.
(December 16, 2018, 3:48 pm)This place is has really good food. I tried the chicken, short ribs, greens, sweet potatoes, mac and cheese, and black eyed peas. The black eyed peas was a little bland and the sweet potatoes had bit too much nutmeg for my liking but over all delicious. The fried chicken was amazing and the short ribs were okay. Everything is fresh and made to order. However, the service was at 2-3 stars. They aren’t very friendly and your wait time is about 30 min. They really need more combo meals or family combos. For 3 meals I spent around $40. Overall, I’d definitely return.
(December 16, 2018, 1:11 am)This place is amazing! They have the best shrimp and grits hands down! Just wish they had it more often than just as a special. Everything else is great too.
(October 28, 2018, 1:26 pm)BEST FRIED CATFISH and sides. Awesome food. It's not fast food. Made fresh. Yams, green beans, collards. Amazing. Clean restaurant, friendly service. Can't wait to go back and try chicken.
