I had a great homecoming service for my mother there a little over a year ago and a few family members as well as 2 special friends took time to come for support of myself towards my mom. I felt my mom who was a Korean War Veteran was special and desrved a special resting place and she has that in Abraham Lincoln's wish when he initiated the first National Cemetery after the War between the States over 150 years ago and to that I say as a decorated Air Force Veteran, Mr. President, Thank you as well for your service in office both in Congress as well as our still beloved President.
Very serene, respectful, and honorable final resting place for our nation's heroes and loved ones. I had my father placed here in May of 2018. Everything from the initial planning to the final service was streamlined and done with the utmost respect. I honestly couldn't ask for more and can never thank everyone that works or volunteer's here enough. They have all made me very confident that I made the right decision leaving my father in their care.
This cemetery is maintained really well. It's easy to find loved ones buried here by searching the registry at the Visitor Center or searching online through the VA website.
My father has been resting here since July 2014. It is the most peaceful and well maintained cemetery, hands down. What an honor to be part of such a beautiful military burial.
My uncle was buried there today, this was really an experience for me because i have never attended a military burial before, the cemetery is so beautiful and peaceful. Rest Well Soldiers...
