  Stopped at Golden Mine after a Monday walk around Braidwood. Ordered a chicken salad and a cup of coffee. Both were terrific, the service was prompt, and the price more than reasonable. A mom 'n pop place such as Golden Mine beats the franchise and fast-food joints any time.

  They have a small salad bar. I love the pork tenderloin. They do not over cook it. A cup of home made soup comes with each meal. Serves Pepsi products. Always busy because of the food and the staff. I go there a lot.

  Nice small family restaurant with good food, fast service and extremely friendly staff members. Went in for lunch with a group of 15 (7 adults and 8 kids). Accommodated us immediately and took care of the group extremely well.
