Nice natural River Park with Kankakee river flow along side it. There is a Dam here which you must stay away from. Because of ignorant peploe who don't think they have responsibility for their own safety, you no longer can stick your feet in the river. Very old oak trees and a couple pounds help round it out. There is plenty of parking on gravel. I live down the street and being a local come here often. Aside from the new rules that prevent you from entering the river, it's. Still a great place.
DO NOT FEED GEESE OR SWANS BREAD! BREAD CAN KILL BIRDS!

Nice area, pretty view. Perfect for a picnic by the water, or a day of fishing. Make sure to bring bird seed or whole grain bread for the geese. There are plenty of them and they WILL walk right up to you. Don't forget your camera!!
