    Des Plaines State Fish and Wildlife area has the largest public controlled pheasant hunting program in the State of Illinois. Also offered are public boat launches, hiking, fishing, two hand trap ranges, an archery range, spring and fall trout seasons and a variety of different game hunting seasons. Conveniently located next to I-55 in the city of Wilmington. Prairie, timber, marsh, backwaters and sand.
