“My husband and I have been going to Shelle Optical for approximately 10 years. We've always gotten wonderful service and reasonable prices. They have a great selection of frames, especially larger ones... think Basketball or Football player sized frames. Recently, we checked out all the large chain stores (For Eyes, Pearl, America's Best, Meijers, etc.) for larger frames. The choices were extremely limited, some didn't even have any my husband could try on. Their answer to the problem was "We can order them in your size, if they're available." How does that help? If you can't try them on, you can't tell if you like them...so why would you pay to order them? We went to Shelley and they pointed to a section of larger-sized frames and said, "We have a lot more. Once we get an idea of what he likes, we can pull more frames from stock we have in the back." They pulled out at least 10 more. He had over 20 pairs to choose from and these were styles he liked! Some frames were even too big. We HIGHLY recommend going to Shelle, especially if you need larger frames!!! They've got them in a wide variety of styles...conservative to the latest fashion trends. They're friendly, answer all your questions, and address any concerns. If asked, they will tell you honestly if the frames you're considering flatter your face and they never try to upsell you on things you don't need. The only drawback...they don't make glasses in an hour.”
