“This is specifically about Family Counseling Agency... one of their services. I went for the first time today, tepid about the counselor I was told I'd be talking to. I had a really bad experience with an unaffiliated counselor at a separate business and was kind of turned-off on the idea. I was desperate though, just for someone I could really talk to so took one more leap. I met Jessica and she was absolutely splendid. From the moment she opened her mouth to speak to me. I could tell this was a nice person. I really got the impression she cared. I want everybody to know that there is definitely someone in their area that cares. I never got the impression she was treating it as just a job. It was my first appointment and she let me just kinda wander around my own thoughts til the very end. She wasn't silent, she was constructive and asking for details but when I wandered to something new or something old, she LISTENED. I ended up talking to another counselor (I think) in the lobby. A hispanic man, just saying hello. I can only say that he was really nice in those few moments. I was wishing he was my counselor until I met Jessica. I got home and I....I'm just relieved. I feel better than I've felt in a long long time. I don't kid myself, I have a lot more to do, but I could not imagine a better start.”

Whoops, did I say Crook County? The name of the county that includes Chicago is Cook County. Sorry, but it's a natural mistake. Anyway, the new doctor is Dr. Sheffey, who is a Cracker Jack Podiatrist. On a scale of 0-100, I give him a solid 120 points, 100 for knowing his business, and I threw in 20 extra points because he's a fan of one of my favorite groups, Pink Floyd.”
