“I began seeing Dr. Parks many years ago when she literally saved my life. After being dumped by my previous psychiatrist because my private insurance had run out and I was now on Medicare, Dr. Parks took over. This former psychiatrist had led me to believe I was a victim of sustained and vicious child abuse; and I was estranged from my family at his insistence. I was in a very vulnerable position. No longer did Dr. Parks search for unsubstantiated instances of child abuse. Instead the focus centered on the here and now.
