“My daughter was admitted to the inpatient unit for PT OT and speech after a massive Brain bleed from late October to early December. When she arrived she was not able to sit up on her own, by the time she was discharged she was walking with a walker. Their therapist are all genuinely invested in their patients and their outcomes. We still go for outpatient therapy and see Kayla, April,Debbie, and Kate who are all so amazing. The nursing staff is very kind and empathetic. I would say if you are there are an extended period of time and orders get changed to double check with the nurses that they were implementing them. Sometimes they may get lost in translation. The weeks are so busy with therapy that by the ending of the week kids are exhausted. I did like that on weekends were very mellow to slow the kids to rest. Child life does a great job at learning what the kids hobbies are and then providing activities to fit that child. Dr Martinez Connie and Dan are amazing providers. We are so happy we chose Shriners’s Chicago for our daughter’s care and rehabilitation.”

“Not only do I work here, but I would send any of my family members here to be cared for. This is a loving family-like community, and we as staff care for our Residents as if they were our own. When they are sick or in the hospital, we are always advocating and concerned about their care outside the facility. The facility is beautiful and clean. “Man! there was a lady named Airman Underwood !! Let me tell you something she was amazing!! There were times I didn’t understand something that was being said and she would patiently explain it to me. She has a beautiful voice and I hope one day to see her in person to tell her “thank you for your service!” On top of that I was not even on hold for long at all. If any body wants a great pharmacy experience, when you call ask for airman Underwood , she is the best and her voice will keep you happy and calm.”

“This review is to be hopefully helpful to not only new, current, and future patients but also the office in general too. On the day before your appointment proactively call the office because they will show you no mercy in canceling your appointment if you don't respond to their phone call. For some reason my brain decided not to make this connection. Anyhow just calling proactively solves the issue and makes it so you don't have to worry about missing the phone call from the office and have to wait an additional 2+ months for another appointment. This goes for the office too. I know your process seems simple but I can't recall many offices that operate that if you don't call back the day before then your appointment gets canceled. I think it would be helpful to say "You don't have to wait to get a call from us. Just call us the day before and tell us you'd still like your appointment for the next day." Could save you a lot of work calling each person if your patients proactively call you”
