His crew ripped out the nasty old carpet and prepped the slab by leveling it before installing the new flooring. The white trim really stands out against the dark espresso floor, I receive many compliments from my friends! It's been over a year now and the floor still looks like the day it was put in. I've heard horror stories from friends who had laminate flooring installed by incompetent contractors that split apart in a matter of a few months due to improper installation.
