Dr. Eric Shoemaker DO

I needed a new doctor because of a retirement. So, I started calling around and called Shoemakers office. Made an appointment. Starting the face to face appointment I began firing questions at Dr Shoemaker about his history and where he went to med school. Dr Shoemaker was transparent. Regular guy with super people skills. If you are afraid of going to the doctor, go see Eric Shoemaker.

Going to the doctor is generally an anxious experience for me, but Dr. Shoemaker listens to my needs, truly cares for people and put me COMPLETELY at ease. He is incredibly warm and professional.

Also, when checking in, I was blown away when I realized the staff is super kind as well. They also worked with me when I was not insured and were extremely understanding. They didn't make me feel like a complete failure for not being insured, AND helped me lower my cost and set me up with a payment plan that was doable for me.

I generally don't like male doctors doing pelvic examinations or anything of that sort, but I feel 110% comfortable with Dr. Shoemaker and I'm about to call to make another appointment with him!

I love this doctor! I went in to him 7 months ago, diagnosed with type 2 diabetes with an A1C of 9.9. He listened to me, he gave me the resources that I needed to get better. He put me on Metformin and a diet plan. After 3 months I had my next A1C with was down to a 5.6 and again last month 5.6 again. He has removed my Metformin and I am holding steady with my blood sugars. I have lost 65 lbs and still dropping. He gave me all the tools I needed to be successful in the treatment. He cant FORCE people to do what he suggests to heal, but he sure offers all the knowledge needed to succeed. Thanks Dr. Shoe you ROCK and so does you staff!

Dr. Shoemaker is hands down the BEST doctor I ever had in my life. If you need an honest and humbled family doctor it's Dr. Eric Shoemaker. Thank you for all your help you are appreciated Dr. Shoemaker.
