    Why bother rating a parking lot? This is more than just a lot. This is a gateway to boating, hiking, or biking. From this lot you can take a trail that borders the lake, but is only available when the lake is at, or below pool. When the lake is high, the trail is covered with water and impassable. Even at pool, there is a section which passes through the lake, covered in a few inches of water. When the water drops lower, cyclists and hikers can continue for miles, enjoying nature. Check the lake status before you head out, and pack the waders if it has been a wet season.

    No humans, just wilderness! I walked 6 miles and only saw birds, fish, frogs, and deer. Just take your shoes off and cross the water, I think it is only possible to cross that water in the fall. I won't go there in the spring when water is high.

    Beautiful once you paddle out 30 minutes from the ramp. The nasty water, after our lake was so high, can't be helped I suppose...
