Kelly and Tony are people this world needs more of. Thank you so much for everything. God bless you!
This is the most warm welcoming group I have had the pleasure to join
I started occasionally frequenting First Baptist Church on 10th street in Jeff several years ago with my mother when my work schedule allowed. She was going through some heavy life changes and needed support, and her daughter to hold her hand some Sunday mornings. We had been members at a different church from before I was thought of on into my early adulthood. That location closed it's doors and moved to a new beautiful campus that was just a little too far and it didn't feel like home anymore. Not anyone's fault, just life. I had enjoyed the little bit of time I'd spent at First Baptist. Everyone was friendly and the pastor was funny and kept my attention, but it wasn't "home" either and it hadn't lit a fire in me. I hadn't been in awhile when one day I walk in and a new pastor had been hired. Tony Gualtieri. A breath of fresh air. I've since made church a priority again. Tony is a man of action and is leading his flock to do the same. I needed that. I needed a leader like that. I know it's not him, it's God working through him, and I appreciate it more than I can explain. It's still warm and welcoming even when he's not preaching the feel good marshmallow fluff lol, but he calls on us to act... to be God's hands and feet. There are times I feel convicted as I'm listening to the sermon because I know I can be doing more. That's a good thing and if you didn't know my friends, that feeling is God moving mountains! If you're searching for a new "home" church on fire for God and reaching out into the community I can't recommend this place enough! Stop in and feel it for yourself! ❤
A friendly and welcoming church where my wife and I felt part of the congregation despite it being our first visit for a Sunday service.
