From my very first visit and going forward, I can not say enough good things about Dr. Sartorius and his staff. Very friendly, personable, kind and caring.
Explained everything very thoroughly and answered all of my questions. I never felt rushed during any of my visits. Great surgeon with great bedside manner!

I have never met a doctor or surgeon like Dr. Carl Sartorius. He is absolutely friendly polite and very caring person. Not to mention how honest he is. He made me feel like he really cared. I would recommend him to any and everyone I know to go to him. He made sure that I understood what he was telling me. He's so honest and down to earth. He's actually really cool. Most caring and compassionate doctor. I went to him for a second opinion because I had a bad experience with my first opinion. I had been in severe pain for 2 weeks. He went into detail explaining everything in layman’s terms and got me in for surgery the next week.

We didn't expect to ever need the assistance of a neurosurgeon, but suddenly we did. And we feel grateful to have fallen into the excellent care of Dr. Sartorius and his team.

Severe headaches landed me in my local ER, where a scan revealed 4 abscesses on my brain. As a healthy 37 year old, this came as quite a shock. I was immediately transferred to St. Vincent's for pain control and more testing. Over the next few days of testing, I lost much of my ability to verbally communicate and to move my right arm and leg. Brain surgery was required to drain the largest abscess and to get a biopsy for identification of the responsible bacteria. Over the next 10 days at St. Vincent's, my pain greatly diminished, I regained most of my speech and was able to walk with the assistance of a cane. I spent two days in rehab before I was ready to get home to my family. Currently I am receiving antibiotics at home through my PICC line and exercising each day. Today I walked a mile with no assistance, and I feel so grateful for the rapid improvement of my symptoms.

I have never had a doctor who communicated so well with my family. Dr. Sartorius's concern, compassion, and skill have been true gifts during a very scary chapter of my life. Because abscesses take a long time to heal, our journey is not yet over, but we are thankful to have the Goodman Campbell team guide us through what remains.

Great experience. Got in on time and was not rushed in meeting with the doctor. He was detailed in his review with me and didn’t over rotate on how to address the issue.
