“The Tot Spot is great! It's not easy leaving your babies but as a working mom I know they are in good hands with teachers who truly care for them. We have been part of the Tot Spot family for almost three years now with both of our children. If you are looking for a place that values education, learning, having fun and becoming part of your extended family then this is your place! GO TOT SPOT”

“Our family has been so impressed with Vibe Music Academy! John and his crew have gone out of their way to learn about my son and his interests so when my son was introduced to guitar, he was able to learn and play music that he already enjoys listening to. John is a gifted musician but also highly skilled at teaching. He works well with families and has a flexible schedule. He is fair but firm with students and I highly recommend Vibe Music Academy!”

“My 18 month old son has gone to the playschool since he was 6 months old and I LOVE IT...so does he. He is always happy and smiling when we pull up and can’t wait to play with his teachers and friends. They had so many activities for him to do so he is never bored like he would be with me at home. They play in the sensory room with a large water table, have an amazing indoor gym, great outdoor space, do yoga, learn Spanish, have a man come in to play piano and guitar for the children, do arts and crafts, read, and play games. They have amazing communication with my husband and I through their app during the day with pictures and updates as well as an online payment system which I love. I can tell the staff really love my son and he loves them. The helped to ween him off the bottle and the pacifier better than I could. They also do extra things like have Mother’s Day and Father’s Day events. They had a day with Santa as well with arts and crafts for the kids and free time with Santa! You can also do part time daycare if that works best for your schedule. They have holiday parties and a set curriculum and do developmental testing to make sure my son is on track. Lastly they don’t close when the local schools close or because of weather which is amazing so I didn’t have to take time off of work! Overall my family loves the Playschool and would recommend it 10/10 to everyone we meet!”

“Strengths: -Teachers: The head teachers all have degrees in the field in addition to their Montessori training. The support teachers have advanced training as well. They know each child's academic strengths and weaknesses as well as their personal ones, and individualize their teaching styles. There is extremely low turnover of the faculty and staff. Even the subs know my children and their interests and hobbies. My children are safe and loved when I'm away. Most teachers are bilingual, as are many children. -Curriculum: The curriculum is common to Montessori schools, and is adapted to the child. It respects the child as a whole person and allows them to develop self discipline, curiosity, and skills in addition to mastering typical topics. This school is special in that it has a music/dance/yoga/art curriculum in addition to the unusual. The school meets all the requirements for certification (I asked and looked it up too), but chooses to use the cost of the certification for a big summer project each year for the kids. Expect optional field trips, extended care, and wrap around care for some breaks and holidays. -Building: The building is nice; big rooms with natural light and separate doors for outside in each class. There are sinks and potties for the children, with a flow between rooms for exchange of children and activities if needed. Meets highest safety standards (certificate in the window). There is a washer and dryer, so you aren't responsible for your kid's sleeping stuff and extra clothes each weekend. People: The other parents who come here are all committed, passionate, interesting people. Having school friends over is easy; their friends are kind with good self control and their parents are comfortable supporting the children's independence. Areas that work for us, but might not be your choice: Food: There isn't a cafeteria, so you pack lunches every day. Also, there is a snack calendar and families take turns bringing assigned snacks. This is fruit, veg, grain, and protein snacks, and most parents bring awesome snacks that keep my kids coming back for seconds. Expect that cost once a month about... Maybe every other. Breaks: If you are familiar with Montessori, you know it has more time off than a typical daycare. This school does a good job of supporting the parents who need child care in addition to education, but it won't always match your work schedule. They do have a parent night out every month that is nice. Screens: There isn't screen time/computer time. We teach them these skills at home. The teachers have a device where they can post your child's photos/diaper changes like most places, but expect a once a day update. These might not even be done every day, because your kids are getting eye contact instead. I like this, but it was an adjustment. For us, the pros outweigh the cons.”

“I like University High School, it's generally a great place to go to school. It's a bit challenging at times, as are all other schools, but the courses really are very interesting. The only problem that they seem to consistently have is a general lack of communication on schedules between the head faculty and everyone else, including some of the teachers. That's not to say I don't like the place, I absolutely do. Make sure if you do come here that you are ready to dedicate all of your time to schoolwork and academics. It's a lot better than it sounds, though, mostly because the classes, while challenging, are also pretty engaging.”

“My 4-year-old began here last fall. Since his first day, he now asks me most mornings, "Are we going to Peter Rabbit!?" He LOVES it and is always jumping out of the car with excitement when we pull up. Beyond that, I as a parent truly appreciate the experience, expertise, and true caring of director Mrs. Cohen and all the teachers. She has been doing this over 40 years and it shows. The kids get a good blend of free/creative play, structured learning/play activities, and daily individual one-on-one time with a teacher. They really get to know your child and they are experts: they know all my son's little special quirks and personality, have guessed what he may be when he grows up, etc. Twice a year (or more at parents' request) they provide a thorough evaluation of your child's development and follow up with a parent-teacher conference. They are not just trying to churn out students that can answer flashcards, they truly get to know your child and make them feel loved and welcomed while providing them with truly enriching learning experiences.”

“Absolutely love working out here. Such a warm family-friendly environment. The owner does his best to accommodate needs of members and gets certain machines according to the members wants. Not your typical branch chain corporate owned gym, this owner definitely puts us first unlike those corporate gyms. Can't wait to tell everyone about my amazing experience, not to mention its so clean!!! Workers are constantly doing an amazing job keeping it clean for us all. LOVE MEI”

“I highly recommend the Goddard school on Commerce drive in West Carmel. The owner and the teachers are genuinely vested in my son's welfare. The education and care is individualized to meet each child's needs and personalities. The communication is amazing! teachers can be reached by email or phone call and they are very accessible. I love the email picture updates of my son throughout the day that keep me updated on his learning progress and activities, the app is easy to use. The school is always clean, tidy and presentable! My child looks forward to going to school because learning is fun at Goddard, it's a huge adventure full of fun activities with his little friends and amazing teachers. Oh! and the outdoor classroom is amazing!”
