I have been going here for a few years and am very happy with Dr Mulinex.
I believe I have been coming here about 10 years. I'll start by saying Dr. Borders is excellent. He has developed a finely tuned medication management program for me. I really appreciate his dialogue style. He treats me with respect. My input is never discounted. I feel I am in very capable hands. He is friendly and is a pleasure to be around. The other side of the coin is the psycho social (I think that's what it's called - Had to look that one up). While I believe Dr. Mossbarger (spp.?) and Michelle Lamb are psychiatrists I saw them for the Psy-Soc issues. They are excellent. For the purpose of keeping this post somewhat short I am going to have to leave it at that. My quality of life has greatly improved under the "team's" care. All of the support staff have been excellent. There could be personnel here that aren't the greatest but if so I have not run into them. I was diagnosed with a serious mental health issue 25 yrs ago. I still have minor problems and always will but the pain of the past has greatly diminished. It is comforting to know I have professionals I can trust to turn to in times of trouble. ----The wait times can be a little long when they're busy but I don't mind. Personally I love the office -relaxing and just the overall feel and decor.
I’ve started going there when I was 18 because I had a huge fight with my mom due to my emotional instability. Not only did we find the root of the problem, but the support and care I’ve recieved from there has been phenomenal. We have one of my medications on point and now are introducing another one into the mix to help me be me. They aren’t there to fix you or make you who you want to be, they are there to help you become who you’re suppose to be and that is what I love so much about them. I live an hour away and will always make the drive there for my appointment because I wouldn’t do my mental health any other way but with their help! Thank you so much to the people who work there for your kindness and loving encouragement to be me, myself, and I.
I have been going here over 5 years. I think people need a lesson on the different "doctors and counselors" you need to see for different issues. However, Hendricks is nice enough not to require you to see a counselor. The Psychiatrists, you generally are only speaking to them about medications and new symptoms, about 15 min appointment. If you need to have counseling or start with some kind of diagnosis, then you see a psychologist or a counselor. At most facilities you generally HAVE TO see one of those first and then be referred to a Psychiatrist.
Now that we have that out of the way. I have seen both Psychiatrists and they are absolutely wonderful. You have to engage(ask questions, say how your feeling, etc) in your own therapy to get better, they don't have every answer, but they will try their hardest to help you. They have both gone above and beyond for me. I appreciate the office staff and dealing with all those annoying prior authorizations. They are well worth the visit.
