“I have been reading the reviews on this website for Southside Foot Clinic/Michael Carroll, DPM and I can't believe what I've been reading. I have been with Dr. Carroll for 3-4 months and in that time, I have had several appointments, a couple of small procedures, x-rays, etc. and a surgery and not once have I experienced anything but the upmost respect and care - and that includes everyone, Dr. Carroll, all the staff and the billing. I first went there because a friend of mine had been going to him for years and had great success. By the time I went to see him, I had a lot of problems with my feet and he has taken care of all the issues (and may I say wonderfully). I would and have already recommended him highly. I think Dr. Michael Carroll, all the staff and the billing department are a cut above the rest!!! BTW, I had the identical surgery on my other foot 13 years ago by a different doctor and the difference is amazing on the x-rays!!! Dr. Carroll has been a blessing. - Rita Q.”

“3 or 4 years ago an insurance change caused me to look for a new prosthetist. After checking 3 of them I chose this company after meeting Tim. His friendliness and professionalism won me over. 2 years later I was forced by new insurance to go elsewhere. While this new company was competent and were really on the ball with pricing before an item was ordered, I was not as happy. When insurance changed yet again the following year I returned to Tim. Tim is friendly ... caring ... professional ... dedicated to ensuring fit is as near perfect as it can be. I would recommend him to anyone if you are not thrilled with how your prosthetic fits. I believe his dedication to we customers/patients would carry over from limbs. Call his office... Ask for a get to know Tim visit. “This is where to go if you're way over weight, such as morbidly obese, and considering bariatric surgery. After trying all types of other weight loss programs, and none working long term, bariatric sleeve might be the last resort option you want to use. Some insurances will cover the cost of this surgery, or at least part of it, as being obese is now considered to be like many other diseases or health issues. Obesity can lead to many other health issues such as diabetes, edema, sleep apnea, heart attack, stroke, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, back pain, joint pain, loss of breath, lack of energy, depression, loss of quality of life, and other issues. Although this may seem like an elective surgery, for some it can be a life saving necessary surgery, and society is just beginning to see obesity as a major health issue that leads to many other issues and that needs to be over come just like any other detrimental health issue. When going here you will meet with a nurse for a consultation and they will take all your vitals and have your blood drawn across the hallway for more extensive examination. You will also meet with a dietitian who will go over your eating habits, and explain to you what you need to eat and the portion size of it. These are both about 20-30 minute meetings. Then you will meet with a psychiatrist for 2-3 hours, after you take a long extensive multiple choice exam, which gives the psychiatrist a look into your behaviors, and to see if you would be a good candidate for bariatric surgery. As the success rate for keeping the weight off may be in the 80-90% range, I am not certain. This surgery is not a cure all or permanent fix. The patient still must follow guidelines and make a life style change in eating habits and exercising for the results to remain permanent forever. If you have tried all other options to lose and keep the weight off, but they have all failed, this may be an option for you.”
