(December 7, 2018, 10:20 am)John's Pond is named after John Clevering, a local resident who has devoted much energy turning a barren retention pond into a thriving native plant sanctuary that attracts and sustains native wildlife. His hand-selected native plantings of flowers, shrubs and trees are a beautiful addition to the area. His work was recognized by the Shirley Heinze Land Trust with the 2107 "Bringing Nature Home Native Landscaping" award.
