“When. I was younger I worked washing the dishes. The food was amazing. And it's a good peice of my childhood. I worked every fish fry they had for years . Don't really know why we didn't go back or what happened but I came there with a older man named Joe . It was a experience of a lifetime working there all I really remember was the prune and cheese pierogi and the fish was amazing thanks for the experience I am going back if it is still a function. Wonder if it's the same way now as it was then I remember a really big big pot that had a really lot of water in it and a big spoon with a big strainer . Then off to the right of that pot was the washer that I used for a long time . Just really miss it .”

“Better than Porter county. Seriously. All I want is not to deal with constant Harassment. In lake station I can walk around. Play with my kid in the park. Go to the store or anything I want to do as long as I'm not making trouble. hell in lake station there is a State Police presence and they don't bother me either. I'm originally from lake county(Gary) and moved to Porter county for about 9 years with so many incidents of unneeded harassment. Now I'm back in lake county and haven't been bothered once in 3 years. It's like I'm free again. I'm not saying lake station pd is perfect but they let you live. Again Lspd isn't perfect. My opinion is based on my personal experience. I'm not an advocate of the police. But I'm an advocate for my personal freedom. I'm not a criminal. But Porter county looks at me as a criminal.”
