(September 19, 2018, 10:05 am)Was referred to Dallas by Ty's Penn Shell back in January 2018. Transmission wouldn't shift passed 2nd gear. Unbeknownst to me, a faulty TPS sensor and MAP sensor triggered the transmission fail-safe mechanism, which prevents damage from occurring. I thought my transmission was toast! Dallas found the codes but the issue had corrected itself. NO CHARGE! Not even a service fee! Imagine how a dishonest mechanic would have taken advantage of a situation like this!
(June 27, 2018, 7:45 am)My experience at Dallas Transmission reminded me of the old days. I was greeted by Randy who was pleasant, professional, and listened to my problem. When I returned to pick up my car Randy explained what they had done to fix the problem and offered advice to fix another problem that was not in their specialty. I thought the price for the work completed was more than fair and in fact recommended them to a friend the next day. This is a local business that cares. Highly recommend.
(March 3, 2017, 9:34 am)My regular mechanic suggested Dallas' Transmission. Dallas was so great! He was quick, helpful and honest. Unfortunately he wasn't able to fix the issue without a major transmission overhaul and the car is 14 yrs old. He didn't charge me a cent for his time and that speaks to his integrity!
(December 9, 2010, 2:16 pm)I took my daughter's high mileage car into Dallas Transmission for a diagnostic check on the transmission which was not shifting properly. I called the next day and they said the transmission was fine but that the engine was not firing properly probably due to old spark plug wires. I said what do I owe you for the test, and they said nothing. This speaks to their honesty I expected to pay and even have a transmission problem. I said thank you very much and I brought them a dozen donuts. from
