“I went to Dr. Palanca, dentist at Preferred Dental Care, for the first time about two years ago as a referral from a friend. I hadn't gone to the dentist for about 12 years prior to that because, like many people, I was scared of the dentist due to past dentists. I had to go to the dentist due to a tooth emergency and she got me in very quickly. Dr. Palanca makes you feel safe and doesn't want you to ever feel pain. During one extraction I had to have, she asked me if I could feel her touching my gums before she did any work to ensure I wouldn't feel any pain while she was doing the actual work. Things like that make you know that you are in good hands. I would recommend her to anyone who wants a good dentist or is scared of the dentist. The entire office is very friendly. Jamie, a dental hygienist at Preferred Dental Care, is also very friendly and caring.”

The jobs that the program provides helps our communities as well. I love to browse the shelves because you never know what interesting items other people donate that just might be that "Well look here!" thing just like the one you used to have, or have been searching for! This week's "Well look here" item is a tray made specifically for baking stuffed seafood shells! I was using a muffin pan, my good one, and looking for a used one when I found it in the housewares! “I paint in my home very seldom. I had to paint an indoor cinder block wall. I went to this store and had wonderful assistance from Lindsay. I showed her a picture of the wall and had my color chosen. Based on the picture of the wall she suggested using a primer. She also suggested tinting the primer the same color as the paint. What a great idea. It made painting the block wall much better. I purchased a roller made for rough surfaces. I have just completed the project and know I will go back because of the great products and service.”
