  Dr Doyle and his staff are wonderful! Old school and the prices are reasonable. Been going to Eastwood Animal Clinic for over 20 years. Highly recommend them!

  I love Dr. Doyle. What sets him apart from the very average vets out there these days is he doesn't upsell or suggest unnecessary procedures and tests. He doesn't veil veterinary medicine in mystery or secrecy. Every appointment we've had, Dr. Doyle educates and in layman's terms. No mystery, and I personally, like getting this information. He can be somewhat gruff, so when he's on a subject that he's passionate about, it can be quite entertaining. I've read some reviews where the reviewer didn't appreciate this quality. I guess if you are thin-skinned, you might not understand. I have been bled by several other vets and Dr. Doyle does not participate in that type of practice. If you bleed the human, you are essentially stealing from the pet (and the human). These newer vets play a huge role in the shelters bursting at the seams.

  Eastwood is an old fashioned vet clinic. Dr Doyle has been in practice since the mid 1960's. With that being said he keeps up with changes in the medicine and technology. He is not one to beat around the bush. He will tell you like it is. Very good with our dogs. I can't speak to other pets. Prices are very fair. Facilities are dated, but clean. I have used him for almost 7 years now with three separate dogs.

  I'm on my third dog with Dr. Doyle, so I've known him long enough to know he is one of the few vets around that has truly seen it all. You can count on him to give you the straight "poop" on just about everything, and he has stories of just about everything you could hope or want to imagine. He could have retired years ago, so you know that he's not in it for the money.
  
  Any aspiring young vet would be wise to get to know him, because he could use a good apprentice to transfer his wealth of knowledge to. Such a person would be in a good position to carry on his legacy for when he is forced into retirement.
  
  If you go see him, be warned that you may get treated to his famous "Stink Finger." If your pet has anything stinky going on with it, Dr. Doyle will likely get a finger full of the offending smegma. It is not uncommon for him to share this with you, up close and personal, with his Stink Finger up and in near proximity to your nose. Thusly, you can confirm the foul aroma wafting from his finger is actually the one you'd rather not know about.
  
  To some people he comes off as dry and grumpy. Don't be fooled by this, because this is just part of his persona. He actually is testing your resolve and worthiness to be a good pet owner. And you have to be sharp to catch his somewhat different sense of humor. Bonus points are given if you can make him laugh.
  
  When he tells you to bring in your dog's poop, you better do it. Your pet's health and life depend upon it. The nice ladies that work there are always kind enough to test it, and you will have the results immediately.
