They replied quickly to all my emails and requests for information, provided a trial period for me to try the instrument and even did a Skype call with me to be able to choose between different instruments. Highly recommend buying (or selling) recorders through Unicorn Music. I have bought several instruments though Charles, and will continue to do so. Charles carefully chooses the best instruments from major recorder and early music festivals to sell, he has done the hard work for you. He is happy to Skype and have you hear the various instruments for sale, he will do his best to make sure you are happy with your purchase, including a 2 week 'trial' period in case you find an instrument is not quite what you wanted. He ships instruments quickly and securely. Charles has many years experience with all varieties of recorders and makers and is happy to give you advice as well. I find him personable and always easy to deal with. His recorders may sometimes cost a little more than buying directly from a maker, but he has already paid the taxes and had first pick of instruments, and there is a lot of service and experience provided along with every instrument, so I think it is worth it.

I have purchased three instruments from Unicorn Music so far, and the experience has been outstanding. They will answer phone calls end emails almost instantly. The descriptions of the instruments on their website are brief but very accurate. If a recorder is listed as having an beautiful, rich tone, or being of professional quality (no matter how abstract these concepts are) you can trust that it will be so. However, if you find it otherwise, they will allow to you return the instrument. I am yet to return any instrument I have purchased from them. Everyone of them has been a joy to play. I find it a great help to be able to purchase a professional-quality instrument without having to wait for it to be made and without having to rely on purchasing used instruments. Unicorn Music fills this gap and provides this much needed bridge between the makers and the players. I will be buying more from them in the future!
