Indiana Dunes National Park West Beach Bath House

This beach is amazing! It's great for the whole family including me and my two sets of twins!!! Emma and Michael, Annabelle and Johnny are begging me to go back this year! I plan to go this weekend! I searched up the pics from last year and I'm sharing the amazing experience with You!

The parking is easy. Bathrooms are standard beach bathrooms, so bring flip flops to walk in there when you wash up.

The shower water was cold. That was the only thing that they could enhance on. A better bathroom experience when cleaning up after a day at the beach.

Absolutely beautiful park! The dunes are so impressive. We didn’t hike on the trails because of the heat, but they looked fun and varied. We were on the West beach. The beach has lifeguards on duty and the buoys mark a large area in Lake Michigan. The swim area doesn’t get very deep...I came within about 10 feet of the buoy and the water was about 4 1/2 feet deep. It was a calm day on the lake when I was there. The beach was clean and wasn’t over crowded. The beach has clean bathrooms, clean showers, and a concession stand.

Loved that this beach has showers and not crowded at all, everyone kept their distance.

Very small beach however only $6 for a swim and shower with a sunset view of Chicago. No physically disabled entrance for the beach at this time ~ I do hope it will come in the future.

Free charging station for two EVs.

The bath House is large and fairly clean and there are many shower heads. The water is neither cold nor hot but a great addition to this beach location.

A word of caution: if there are white breaking waves swimming is not advised.
