“A cat bit me on the knuckle of my hand. When the emergency room doctor saw it, he said I could lose my hand. The redness from bacteria climbed up my forearm. My hand was swollen. Dr. Sarma was given my case and in charge of the medicine that would be dripped through IV. I was in the hospital for 2 days. I was well aware of bacterial resistance to antibiotics. After 2 days I was sent home and prescribed other antibiotics. In ten days, the medicine worked! The swelling and redness disappeared. I have full use of my hand. I'm grateful Dr. Sarma and everyone else at St. Mary's knew what they were doing!”
