  I’ve been bringing my pup here for 10yrs for grooming, boarding, & vet services. I’d been to different places in the past with poor results, but after my first visit I was sold. The folks are friendly & knowledgeable. They truly care about my pup & although he hates a bath, he doesn’t mind it as much with their friendly groomers. I recently had a bit of trouble with my pup & they handled everything, calming both my pup & me. They also called to follow up to see how he was doing. They truly care & that’s everything. A big thanks to everyone at Petsburgh.

  Great place! My dog is very fearful due to past experiences at another vet office. They are kind and patient and treat my dog so well. I feel they are also more reasonably priced than other vets. Highly recommend!

  We love Dr. Shutes! He's knowledgeable and thorough and has no problem giving detailed explanations about our dogs' health. We have 2 pit bulls, Bonnie and Clyde, and everyone at Petsburgh judges them (or seems to) on their own merits and their own temperament, which is very affectionate and happy. If anyone at Petsburgh dislikes Bonnie and Clyde because of their breed or media stories, etc. I've never been able to see it. We don't have kids, just the dogs, and I'm an extremely uptight Tiger Mom about their treatment and care. We had to change doctors for them because their first one (who was a behaviorist) had a new role and wasn't available to see patients as much, and I had issues with the facilities at our old place, so I was ready to shop around before committing. We chose to try Petsburgh because of positive reviews and its location. When we switched to Petsburgh, I literally asked the receptionist which doctor would be best for a family like ours: not only a stigmatized breed, but an assertive mom that's going to be overly sensitive about every interaction the staff has with her animals. She was very kind and said all the doctors would be great, and Dr. Shutes had an opening and she thought he'd be a great fit. And she was right. If I ever felt a negative vibe from anyone in that facility directed at our dogs, I would never bring them back. Dr. Shutes treats them very well and seems to genuinely like them. He understands their quirks and likes and dislikes and takes it in stride. Craig, our favorite tech, loves Bonnie and Clyde and doesn't care that they try to lick his face and get overexcited when they see him. I trust Dr. Shutes to know what's best and give me the realistic pros and cons. He removed a cancerous tumor from Clyde's back last year, and Clyde is in great health now, hasn't missed a beat. Dr. Shutes doesn't criticize how we raise them (for example, they're not destructive, so we don't use crates) and we'll continue to take them back to Dr. Shutes as long as we can. We highly recommend him and feel he is a genuinely caring person who wants the best for our dogs.

  I really liked this place. The environment is clean and open. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming. From start to finish I was so happy that I chose this place for my doggo. From reception all the way up to the vet I was met by friendly people who really seem to genuinely love animals.
