  The Black Dog Inn is Monticello's hidden treasure and the only place I will stay from now on when visiting for my family's annual vacation! The owners are genuinely caring and very attentive. My extended family was staying across the street at another resort and we typically overflow to Black Dog. My little family started staying at the B&B 2 years ago and we absolutely love the quaint, home-like feel with a well balanced breakfast provided the next day. The facilities are always clean and roomy. I can't say enough good things about this place!
  
  The other resort had an emergency evacuation due to power lines threatening the safety of my family. A group of my nieces and nephews came to sit with us at Black Dog and have a picnic in the backyard. The owners brought out ice water and cups while we waited to return the children safely to the other resort.

  If I could give this B&B more than 5 stars I would. The owners of this quaint establishment make you feel right at home. We took a mini vacation with our two sons and could not have had a better experience. The kindness of our hosts is unparalleled. The grounds are adorned with beautiful flowers and mature trees. The inside is very nicely decorated and very very clean. Great water pressure and comfy beds made it easy to settle in after a day at the park or exploring the town. The delicious homemade breakfasts helped start our mornings off on the right foot. I can't do this fantastic home away from home justice by words alone, you should definitely check it out yourself! Thank you Tom and Vicki, for becoming a part of one of our family's greatest memories.
