“Hiring Jordan and Amy was the best decision I made for my birth plan. When I was feeling uncertain about the induction my doctor suggested, Amy walked me through what would happen step-by-step, answering my questions and alleviating my concerns. Having Jordan there for the birth brought me so much relief and satisfaction with the decisions I made during that time. She was with us for almost 24 hours after a night-time cervix thinner started contractions. Things did not go as anticipated -- as they commonly do with births. Jordan talked me through the options and trade-offs, and reassured me during the scary moments. I would *not* have been able to get through hours of contractions medication-free without her help. And she waited on me hand and foot while my partner was getting some much needed rest and my bottom half was numb. She was an amazing coach, teaching me how to push properly and enthusiastically encouraging me for what felt like forever. There was a moment after 4 hours of pushing that the doctor told me they were going to try the vacuum before going to c-section. I immediately felt this flood of panic. But Jordan leaned in close and told me it was going to be okay and that this was the best possible option at that point, and that gave me the energy to push her out at the eleventh hour.”
