The pet stains originally were really bad(dark yellowing) but he removed it to the point where you can't tell. The highly trafficked areas were dark black stains and at the end the carpet came out as it's original color. I am sure there have been many improvements and upgrades since I cleaned with one.Had a severely stained and grease, dirt stained indoor-outdoor carpet in the kitchen. This machine brought it back to new! Dirty water does not need dumping, extraction hose just goes down toilet or sink. Sucks the carpet nearly dry. No weird smells left like is happens alot with regular cleaners. If you and your family have a lot of carpets to clean, it would be well worth it to lease one of these machines.
