“Went searching for family history, county courthouse was extremely helpful and the office women were very patient and provided us with valuable information. Didn't get to go everywhere due to flooding. Planning to stop there next year.”

“There are certainly some interesting and unique pieces in the Gustav Jeeninga collection. I was first recommended a visit by my intro to bible professor. I thought it worth the sight! Though the collection is modest, it is still interesting to see where Gustav Jeeninga went during his lifetime.”

“This is a very interesting place. Lots of history for a small town. The rooms are well put together. Plus it's free and memberships are only 12.00 for an individual and 20.00 for a family a year. This goes to help with the costs of the building.”

“Only been there one time and one time convinced me...I love it! Stayed for about 3 days during the bluegrass festival in June. Great friendly environs, fun for the whole family. Plenty of places to camp or RV. They even have some fishing spots for those interested. Would love to go back some time!”

“I rode the ghost train and had a wonderful time! How wonderful that they were able to restore this 1950s era train and give us all this train experience. The train car was decorated for Halloween and there were costumed characters and a story teller. They also had a bonfire for us at the end of the ride and gave us all popcorn cooked over the fire. We also got to tour the haunted Roads Hotel. I definitely recommend this ride. I’m looking forward to the Reindeer Ride!”

“IT'S AWESOME! Last time I was here the collection was in the basement of the courthouse. Now its in its ow. building and bigger and better than before! Lot of old cars very well restored. Many dinosaur bones found in farm fields of the area!!! Huge gun collection that dates back to pirate days on the high seas! Oh youll spend a day here easy and still not see it all. Worth the trip and good for the young and old both.”

“What a fun place to take your kids! It'll cost you maybe $10 for a couple train rides for you, spouse, and kid, but it is so worth it. From the point you park in the lot you can see the train going through and that is lots of fun. There are so many trains to look at and explore. My daughter had a blast and my wife and I loved watching her have a blast. We will definitely go back!”
