The staff is always very friendly and happy to get you what you’d like. The food is that back-country good home cooking. And DONT skip on the pie! I swear I’ve tried all of them over the years and they all taste magical. Couple the restaurant with the bakery and you can grab fresh bread, pies, baked goods and more. Plus there are shops around to find beautiful home decor. If you’re in the area, this is definitely a classic that has lasted over the years and for good reason. Check them out for yourself! But I would definitely say 10/10 would definitely recommend.”

“The Ladies that run the Blue Umbrella are funny, super friendly, nice, and all around great. All of us enjoyed it there. We were too late for breakfast, but they still had cinnamon rolls and they were good. Very different from the way folks in our family do them, but super good nonetheless - and the frosting tops it all off really well. After the morning train ride, we enjoyed the coffee very much, it really hit the spot. So, we split cinnamon rolls, had coffee, oh and hot chocolate too, and, BLT's all around with a fried egg on 'em. Yeah. That was good. Some people told us the stuffed pepper soup was supposed to be really great, but, I went with mushroom soup and enjoyed that very much. Atmosphere was cute and quaint. So. All thumbs up. As soon as you get off the train there it is. I see no reason to try anywhere else. We are all from small towns too and know tasty hometown food when we find it.”

“We’ve been here many years ago and it’s still decent. Growing up in the Chicago area, we now what we like in pizzas. They are close and yummy. We went for dinner but arrived a half hour before the buffet started. They says they’d start it early. While pizzas were cooking we enjoyed the salad bar. There are puddings and fruit too. They had a apple cobbler pizza and another dessert one. Sub sandwiches cut thinner for the buffet and 5 or so different pizzas. Pepsi products. Great food and pleasant workers.”

“New to the area (Fairmount to be exact) this Marion location is my new Starbucks and I just felt obligated to leave some good stuff when it's well deserved! First, I have never been to a Starbucks anywhwere in the U.S. (I been to a lot of them.. we traveled a lot & owned semi trucks so we also worked cross country) that has been this active/friendly & lively! The baristas get to know people personally, remembering who they are, they also talk to customers while still working their butts off which makes this whole location so full of life and smiles..It's so nice to see and a rare commodity these days. I will also throw in that in all the times I have been here, never once has my order been wrong, or had any sort of issue..Now when I go, its normally my 3 kids with me that are like every other child, obsessed with tiktok..You know what that means..Try this drink, try that drink lol (i want the pink rhino with sprinkles and glitter with a unicorn flying by haha) and never once has anyone here ever declined ..That makes the kids feel so special!! You Always make their day as well..So thank you to all you hard workers, it is greatly appreciated 😊”

It was so so good. 8 ordered the mango margarita on the rocks. With top shelf tequila which was Patron. My husband got the regular house margarita. It was lime-ey.. the food and atmosphere was so great. I wish this place was closer to home. Because this would be one of our regular spots. I locked my keys in car. These gentlemen here were so so nice they were so quick to help us. I mean to stop what they were doing to help us was just incredible. I wish I lived out here. Everyone is kind. And so willing to help out when they see someone in need. I think 3-4 people that left the restaurant asked Javier if he needed help. “We've been to this place a few times before. It's been some time ago. We had the yeero sandwich and fries and philly steak with fries. Fries were good especially with the sauce they give. Gyro was good, tender meat nicely sliced not too thick. Philly was decent. Not as good as I remember. Something about the meat seemed different kinda slimy. Prepackaged maybe? And frozen not sure but it was ok. Clean tables and nice scenery. Will definitely be back at some point.”

I got the chicken and green beans. Both were great, though I wish the chicken had a little more flavor to it. The coating was crispy and it was a huge portion for the price. And if you like cocktails but hate the taste if alcohol? The Sun Sipper cocktail was AMAZING. Tasted like a tropical vacation in a cup. “Moved here from Chicago 5 months ago and have tried just about every pizza in NWI and I can safely say this is my favorite! This is the only thin crust that even comes close to all the good pizza we had in the city. It smells like heaven as soon as you walk in too. Sauce to cheese ratio is perfect. Edit - I may take away one star for this eventually but hours are posted until 9pm (every day except Fridays & Saturdays which is until 10) and I swear they never answer the phone after 7:50pm lol just tried again right now and it was only 8:01pm with multiple phone call attempts. This happened 4 other nights I tried calling in the last two weeks. We’re settling for Pizza Hut because it’s close but pretty disappointed :( Hopefully it doesn’t happen again.”
